Barangay Saray Chairman James Alburo said that Iligan City Representative Frederick W. Siao was in fact the first local official to send aid to his barangay when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the city in 2020.

In fact, siya ang pinaka-una nga naghatag sa mga ayuda sama sa bugas ug mga grocery items,” Alburo said in a radio interview via phone patch.

(The Congressman has been a huge help, when the pandemic started in 2020, when the cases started rising in our city, particularly in our barangay. I saw that Congressman Siao did not neglect us. In fact, he was the very first person to send aid like rice and grocery items.)

He added that aside from the grocery items and food packs, Siao also sent personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields, face masks, and alcohol to be used by the frontliners of the barangay.

(We are very thankful to Congressman Siao because he did not neglect us here in Barangay Saray and that he did not neglect the other barangays too.)

Alburo also thanked Siao for his infrastructure and other projects implemented in the barangay citing that the residents are very happy to have them.

He said he was looking forward to future plans and projects in partnership with Congressman Siao.
